The coffee table is a recycled cable roll top supported by metal stands and settled on a luscious sapphire rug forming an island in the room. It is ornamented with an intricately beaded calabash/gourd momentarily teleporting us to the western part of Uganda where calabashes are used to store milk and fermented millet porridge. The women use seed beads to make colourful jewelry gracefully worn by brides and dressed on wedding present gourds.

The representation of plants helps soften the seemingly domineering furniture created from local Mugavu and teak wood breaking the outlines of predictable forms.

The selected book collection and decorative vases keep the rustic television unit looking chic.

The master bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed crowned with an engraved head board and veiled with a mosquito net, closet and en suite bathroom. The bedside lamps guarantee a great experience for those who like to cuddle up in bed with a good book.

A locally made dining table is anchored by an African print table runner whose colour scheme ties in with the sisal string that frames the mirror laced between clustered rows of colourful seed beads. Diners are able to remove themselves from the recreation area into a calmer zone to enjoy their meals.

The black framed reading table is carefully secluded in a corner space to allow for private study or offer support if one has to work from home.

The kitchen is part of the open plan design that combines elegance and functionality, sporting granite counter tops with stainless quality steel appliances and wood cabins it is located right next to the dining room.
