Semuliki Home
This apartment draws its influences from the Batuku cattle keepers who inhabit the open plains of the Semuliki national park, one of the newly gazetted national parks in Ugnda. The theming seeks to draw from the rough terrain, the west-ugandan culture and the wilderness of the national park.
Description
This apartment draws its influences from the Batuku cattle keepers who inhabit the open plains of the Semuliki national park.
The deep seated earth toned sofas acting in concert with the entertainment centre warmly cuddle a lustrous red rug. This spacious interior is designed for entertainment whilst embracing comfort with a Ugandan flair. The playfully textured throw cushions lighten the seriousness of the chairs.
On the river coffee table seats three spherical beaded balls huddled together on a palm leaf
An irresistibly long six seater dining table is highlighted with an embroidered table runner made from cultural fabric called Kikoyi used in cultural outfit. Quietly but not discretely sitting in the back drop is a handmade cow hide framed circular mirror supported by multiple circular ornaments.
Tones of bronze and brown surround this exquisite entertainment centre crafted out of local hard wood. Its open shelves provide the perfect place to highlight beautiful glass and wooden craft accessory pieces.
Right as you walk into the apartment you are met with a gorgeously curved console that helps break the outlines of predictable forms and makes good dwelling for house and car keys. The beautifully curved wrought iron above it frames it perfectly for a winning combination.
The reading corner offers an intimate, private space to work without having to move things around. The retro designed furniture is of superior strength and exquisite beauty.
The resting spaces are comprised of two bedrooms; a twin bed room and an en-suite master bedroom. The beds are enticingly dressed with fresh light, milky palette bed linen.
