Description
Mabira forest located in Buikwe District is the closest and only rain forest in central Uganda. It is home to so many tree species like Primate Lophocebus Ugandae. This forest is also used by traditional healers who come to gather herbal medicines for their clients. It is also believed to be the home of the Buganda’s gods of rain and food.
In this light this apartment shows itself off in a tropical theme playfully displayed in colour and accents. The indigenous rustic wood presence is strong as seen in the dining table design, living area furniture and console wall so much that it gives the apartment a bold and masculine presence you cannot ignore.
The multiple log coffee table standing on metal stilts is softened by yellow blooms sitting next to a Ugandan made wok pan called a Kikarayi cuddling recycled paper balls. The area rug that weaves all this together is woven in gradients of moss green to further enhance this tropical forest theme.
No living space is complete without a media centre. The handmade decorative components that echo authenticity cannot escape your eye.
